About this role

· Shell Gas Station is seeking a responsible, motivated, and customer-focused Manager to oversee daily operations, supervise staff, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain the smooth and efficient functioning of the station.

· Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
· Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
· On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Tasks

· – Direct and control daily operations
· – Evaluate daily operations
· – Plan and organize daily operations
· – Manage staff and assign duties
· – Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors’ operations on sales
· – Determine merchandise and services to be sold
· – Implement price and credits policies
· – Locate, select and procure merchandise for resale
· – Develop and implement marketing strategies
· – Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
· – Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
· – Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
· – Supervise office and volunteer staff
· The position requires supervising 3–4 people and having knowledge of computer systems, including point-of-sale (POS) systems and MS Outlook. Candidates must be willing to travel and may be required to undergo a criminal record check. Strong organizational and supervisory skills, along with the ability to manage daily operations effectively, are essential.
· The role involves working in a fast-paced environment under pressure, handling heavy loads, and maintaining strong attention to detail. Candidates must be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday. The ideal candidate should be adaptable, efficient, a quick learner, client-focused, and flexible, with excellent oral communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
