PARAS FASHIONS LTD Location: Surrey, British Columbia Wage: $38.50 per hour Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time Start Date: As soon as possible Number of Positions: 1 About the Position Paras Fashions Ltd. is seeking an experienced Retail Sales Supervisor for its jewellery and accessories retail operation in Surrey, BC. The position combines retail sales supervision with specialized knowledge of jewellery, including jewellery styling, customization, modification, design and minor repair. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of retail salespersons and sales clerks Assign sales workers to duties Establish staff work schedules Supervise 1 to 2 employees Order jewellery, accessories and other merchandise Organize and maintain inventory Sell merchandise and provide specialized customer assistance Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters Resolve customer requests, complaints and supply shortages Support effective merchandising and presentation of jewellery and accessories Assess customers' jewellery styling, alteration and customization requirements Assist with jewellery customization and modification Perform minor jewellery repair, adjustment and component replacement where required Recommend jewellery styles based on customer preferences, occasion and design Provide input into jewellery designs and merchandise selection Jewellery Experience and Specialized Skills The successful candidate should have experience or demonstrated knowledge in: Jewellery repair and adjustments Jewellery customization Jewellery modification Jewellery styling Jewellery and accessory design Customer consultation regarding jewellery styles, colours, sizes and matching accessories Custom jewellery and accessory work Qualifications College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant work experience Retail sales supervisory experience Experience working with jewellery and/or fashion accessories Strong client focus Ability to multitask English language required Work Environment Jewellery store Retail service establishment Custom work On-site position in Surrey, BC Who Can Apply The employer welcomes applications from: Canadian citizens and permanent residents Temporary residents of Canada Other qualified candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit Paras Fashions Ltd. promotes an inclusive workplace and encourages qualified Indigenous applicants and members of other underrepresented groups to apply.
