Duration of employment: 2 years Position: Full Time Hours: Averaging 35 hours weekly (overtime rate - time and a half) Benefits: EI, CPP, WCB, Extended health benefits (50/50) after probation Job Responsibilities: • Conventional and inverted built-up systems • Modified roofing systems • Rigid pre-formed roofing systems • Single ply membrane roofing systems • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete and masonry surfaces • Troubleshoot and defect leaks • Repair and replace roofing systems • Inspect re-roofing, etc. • Cutting and measuring of insulation • Screwing down cover board and insulation, with use of a screw gun • Carpentry skills for building parapets and blockings • Ability to lift 50lbs • Alignment of membrane rolls that involve setting and cutting • Knowledge of open flame torch and hot air hand welders • Use of hand tools, knives, hammers, measuring tapes, chalk lines Credentials required: Education : Not required Work experience : Min. 2 years of work experience as a roofer Required Languages: English
