About this role
· Seeking a Dedicated and Compassionate Female Live-In Caregiver
· We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, patient, and caring female live-in caregiver to provide full-time support and assistance to our 16-year-old son, Julian, who has a disability and requires comprehensive personal care and daily support.
· Julian has a chromosomal translocation and autism. He is non-verbal and unable to walk independently, and therefore requires assistance with his daily personal care and activities. He is not medically fragile and eats a regular diet; however, he requires assistance with feeding.
· The ideal caregiver will be compassionate, patient, attentive, and comfortable providing hands-on personal care while ensuring Julian’s safety, comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being.
· Terms of Employment
· Employment: Permanent, full-time
· Language: English
· Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
· Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
· Work Setting: Employer’s private home, Room and board provided
· Main Responsibilities
· Administer bedside and personal care
· Administer medications
· Assist clients in water (i.e. pool)
· Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
· Feed or assist in feeding
· Launder clothing and household linens
· Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
· Plan therapeutic diets and menus
· Provide companionship
· Provide personal care
· Prepare and serve nutritious meals
