Work location: 1151 10 Avenue SW, Suite 280, Salmon Arm, BC V1E 1T2 Number of Vacancy: 1 Salary: $25.00 per hour, 30-40 hours per week Nature of employment: Permanent and full-time (Morning, day, weekend) NOC code: 12200 Start date: As soon as possible Languages: English Work setting: Retail business & Rural area Benefits: Team building opportunities and parking available Job duties: • Prepare vendor invoices, process payments, and monitor outstanding balance. • Collect all relevant financial information and prepare the corporation’s tax returns, GST/PST filings, and payroll remittances in compliance with CRA regulations. • Prepare employees’ payroll twice a week and issue annual T4 slips in a timely and accurate manner. • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and other financial data in the bookkeeping system and maintain up-to-date records. • Reconcile daily cash, debit, and credit sales from the POS system with bank deposits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. • Track inventory purchases, cost-of-goods-sold (COGS), and stock adjustments, and report any irregularities to the store manager. • Record daily journal entries and maintain an accurate general ledger to support reliable month-end and year-end financial reporting. • Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements by compiling and organizing sales, inventory, and expense data. • Coordinate with suppliers and service providers to verify billing accuracy, resolve discrepancies if needed.
