Job Description
Work location On site Salary 36.60 hourly / 40 hours per week Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend Starts as soon as possible Languages English Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience 2 years to less than 3 years On site Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work site environment Noisy Dusty Work setting Construction Renovation Commercial Residential Level of expertise Maintenance and repair Tasks Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites Supervise other workers Estimate costs and materials Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments Experience and specialization Equipment and machinery experience Hand tools Personal suitability Accurate Efficient interpersonal skills Judgement Reliability Team player Values and ethics You can apply if you are: a Canadian citizen a permanent resident of Canada a temporary resident of Canada with a valid work permit Do not apply if you are not authorized to work in Canada.
