7 months to less than 1 year experience required Must have Class 1 licence 2 Job Positions Available Tasks -Professionalism in customer service -Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials -Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment -Perform brake adjustments -Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle -Perform preventive maintenance -Receive and relay information to central dispatch -Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption -Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses -Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) Documentation knowledge - Driver logbook - Maintenance and repair reports - Trip reports Communication systems experience - Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment Transportation/travel experience - Long-haul Security and safety - Criminal record check - Driving record check (abstract) Work conditions and physical capabilities - Physically demanding Other benefits - Paid time off (volunteering or personal days)
