· Job Description

· A private household is seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to provide care and assistance to a 72-year-old individual living with dementia. The successful candidate will support the client's daily living activities, personal care needs, comfort, safety, and well-being within a private home environment.

· • Provide bedside and personal care

· • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene

· • Administer medications as directed by the employer or healthcare professionals

· • Assist with mobility, walking, and regular exercise activities

· • Feed or assist in feeding the client

· • Provide companionship and emotional support

· • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for a client with dementia

· • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks

· • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

· • Launder clothing and household linens

· • Shop for groceries and household supplies as required

· • Monitor the client's condition and report any changes to family members or designated contacts

· • Assist with other duties related to patient care, comfort, and daily living

· Employment Requirements

· • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

· • Completion of a caregiver, home support worker, personal support worker, health care aide, or related program is an asset

· • Equivalent experience may be considered

· • Experience providing care to seniors, persons with disabilities, or individuals with dementia is an asset
