Job Description
Go door to door in your own community, helping residents complete their census questionnaires for the 2026 Census. Pay is $25.87 per hour, plus approved expenses such as mileage and parking. Availability of a minimum of 20 hours per week on average is required, with most work in the evenings and on weekends. Employment runs to July 2026, depending on position and location. Requirements: you must have reached the age of majority in your province or territory, reside in Canada with a Canadian home address, and be legally entitled to work in Canada. No prior government experience is required. Local knowledge of the people, the land, and the language is what makes the census work — community members are strongly encouraged to apply.
