· Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements
· Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
· Participate in field surveys, inspections or technical investigations
· Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates
· Prepare engineering designs and drawings
· Prepare project schedules
· Provide consultation services to government and other organizations
