Construction Helper GAD Systems Ltd. located at Langley, British Columbia is looking for Construction Helper. This is a full-time position with 35 hours of work per week. Wages per hour will be $25.00. You will be required to work at various construction sites across Metro- Vancouver. Following are some of the job duties: Load, unload, and move drywall sheets, metal studs, insulation, and related construction materials to designated work areas at residential and commercial sites. Assist drywall installers by preparing work areas, erecting and dismantling scaffolding and ladders, and holding, positioning, and securing drywall panels during installation. Mix, prepare, and distribute joint compound and other materials, and support taping, mudding, and finishing activities as directed by tradespersons. Operate and tend basic construction equipment and hand tools and perform routine cleaning and maintenance of tools and work areas. Remove construction debris, scrap drywall, and packaging materials, maintain a clean and safe job site, and follow workplace safety procedures and directions from tradespersons. Job Requirements: • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials. • Willingness to work at various job sites across Metro Vancouver. • Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions. • Previous construction or drywall experience is an asset, but not required. • On-the-job training will be provided.
