Job Description
Position Title: Registered Early Childhood Educator No. of Vacancies: 1 Job Duties Specific Skills: - Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. - Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts. - Knowledge of licensing regulations. - Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity. - Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children. - Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits. - Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods. - Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours. Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time Language of Work: English Wage: $26.83 to 31.05/ hour Hours: 37.5 hours / week Benefit Package: 4% Vacation pay, Medical and Dental benefits Location of Work: 225 Garden Avenue, Toronto ON M6R 1H9 Skills Requirements Education: College/CEGEP Work Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
