Long haul Truck Driver

• Experience in the field is an asset., Requirement:, • Class 1 Driving Licence or equivalent is required., Responsibilities and Duties:, • Drive and operate long combination vehicles, tractor-trailers, and flatbed trucks for long-haul transportation of goods across local, provincial, national, and international routes., • Plan routes, monitor road and weather conditions, coordinate delivery schedules, and manage trip logistics to ensure efficient and timely transportation of freight., • Perform comprehensive pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems, trailers, tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement equipment, to ensure safe operation, • Load, inspect, secure, strap, chain, belt, and tarp a variety of oversized, specialized, and open-deck freight in accordance with National Safety Code (NSC), cargo securement standards., • Communicate effectively with dispatch personnel, shippers, receivers, and border officials regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, route changes, and documentation requirements., • Comply with all federal, provincial, and international transportation regulations, hours-of-service requirements, road safety standards, and company policies.
