Job Title Long haul truck driver Job details Location: 251 Oak Point Hwy Winnipeg, MB R2R 1T9 Salary: $30.50 hourly / 40 hours per week Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time Starts: As soon as possible Vacancies: 2 vacancies Employer: Avitaz Brar Transport Ltd Overview Languages English Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience Will train Work setting Willing to relocate Relocation costs covered by employer Responsibilities Tasks Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Perform preventive maintenance Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Experience and specialization Documentation knowledge Driver logbook Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) Trans-border documentation Trip reports Transportation/travel experience International Long-haul Additional information Security and safety Driver's validity licence check Driving record check (abstract) Transportation/travel information Valid driver's licence Willing to travel for extended periods Work conditions and physical capabilities Sitting Personal suitability Flexibility Team player How to apply By email avitazbrartransport@gmail.com
