Job Description
Tasks Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints Clean and prepare surfaces Cure freshly plastered surfaces Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry Prepare wall and ceiling layouts Estimate costs and materials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Occupational Health and Safety Certificate Weight handling Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) Work site environment Dusty Noisy Work setting Residential Various locations Willing to relocate Job Requirements: Languages English Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience Experience 1 year to less than 2 years Start Date: As Soon As possible Position Type: Full-Time Permanent Experience: 0-1 Education: High School Travel: None Vacation: 2 weeks / year
