Company name: Aldo’s Concrete Ltd. Position: Floor Installer NOC 73113 Wage rate: $30/hr Job type: Permanent, Full time. Language: English Start date of employment: As soon as possible Education: Completion of high school or equivalent experience. Experience: 1 year of experience. Some experience in construction will be an asset. Position available: 1 Work Location: Various locations in Lower Mainland. Business Location: 5481 INVERNESS ST Vancouver, BC V5W 3P2 Job Duties: • Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered. • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements. • Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding. • Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings. • Prepare and install hardwood floors. • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings. • Prepare floors for installations. • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants. • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations. Requirements: • Experience in floor covering installation or related construction work is an asset. • Ability to use hand tools and equipment required for flooring installation. • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Physically capable of performing manual labour tasks and lifting materials. Working Conditions: • Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy. • Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel. • Repetitive task. • Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
