Job Description Position: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Hours: 40 hours per week Employment Type: Permanent, full-time Work Schedule: Shift work Start Date: As soon as possible Benefits: Health care plan Vacancies: 2 Language: English Education and Certification Requirements: Completion of secondary school is required. Completion of a recognized Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) apprenticeship program, or an equivalent trade qualification, is required. A valid Certificate of Qualification in Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) with Red Seal endorsement is required. Candidates holding an equivalent Canadian provincial or territorial Certificate of Qualification in Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), with Red Seal endorsement or recognition acceptable in British Columbia, may also be considered. Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience as an Industrial Mechanic, Millwright, Maintenance Millwright, or in a similar industrial machinery maintenance role. Main Duties: Install, align, relocate, and dismantle industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to technical drawings, blueprints, layout plans, and manufacturer specifications. Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment by identifying faults, irregularities, and defective components. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, mechanical, and programmable control systems. Operate hoists, cranes, jacks, and other lifting equipment to position machinery and components during installation, repair, and maintenance work. Adjust, repair, or replace defective machinery parts and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Perform routine preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, inspections, adjustments, and maintenance record updates. Follow workplace safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and applicable maintenance standards.
