Title of the position Child Care Provider (Private Home) Job Duties (Tasks) and Responsibilities Follow parents’ lead with toilet training Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties Shop for food and household supplies Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens Bathe, dress and feed infants and children Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home Organize, activities such as games and outings for children Prepare and serve nutritious meals Prepare infants and children for rest periods Supervise and care for children Tend to emotional well-being of children Help children with homework Skills and experience • Ability to speak, read, and write basic English at a minimum • Minimum high school diploma to support basic teaching and learning interactions with the child • At least 5 plus years of experience as a caregiver or childcare provider • Minimum ECA-related qualification (Early Childhood Education or equivalent) • Ability to speak Gujarati is an asset, supporting the child’s cultural connection and language development Terms of employment (for example, project-based, permanent position) • permanent, full-time employee Language of work • English Wage (must include any incremental raises, performance pay or bonuses) • 21.50 for 35 hours Benefits package offered • health benefits offered • caretaker will be offered all meals at the residence on working days Location(s) of work (local area, city or town) • 502 KEITH RD E NORTH VANCOUVER, BC V7L1W2 (Private residence) Contact information: telephone number, cell phone number, email address, fax number, mailing address • 502 KEITH RD E NORTH VANCOUVER, BC V7L1W2 (Private residence) NOC Code • 44100 Child Care Providers
