Number of Vacancies: 3 Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week Start Date: Spring Job Description Ironclad Earthworks Ltd. is currently seeking three (3) experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidates will assist with earthworks and construction projects by operating heavy machinery safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of performance and safety. Main Duties and Responsibilities The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for the following duties: • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, backhoes, graders, compactors and Rock Trucks • Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation work • Load and unload materials such as soil, gravel, and debris • Conduct daily pre-operational inspections of equipment and ensure proper maintenance • Monitor equipment performance and report mechanical issues or repairs needed • Follow job site plans, grade stakes, and instructions from supervisors • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations • Work closely with crew members and site supervisors to complete tasks efficiently • Maintain a clean and safe work area • Assist with general labour duties as required Requirements • Secondary school education is preferred • Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating heavy equipment is required • Ability to operate machinery safely in construction and earthworks environments • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and regulations • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions • Valid driver’s license is an asset • Safety tickets such as WHMIS, First Aid, CSTS, or Ground Disturbance are an asset (but not mandatory) Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities • Physically demanding position • Repetitive tasks and attention to detail required • Ability to work long hours standing, sitting, and operating machinery • Must be able to work in outdoor conditions How to Apply Interested applicants may apply by submitting their resume to: Email: employment@ironclad.ca
