Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver goods and products to customers Plan and follow efficient delivery routes using maps or GPS systems Load, unload, and secure goods to prevent damage during transit Collect payments, obtain delivery confirmations, and handle invoices as required Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, fuel usage, and expenses Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness Report vehicle defects, accidents, or delays to the employer promptly Ensure timely delivery while following traffic laws and safety regulations Provide professional customer service during deliveries Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle Secondary school education is an asset Valid Class 5 driver’s license Clean driving record preferred Ability to lift and carry packages (up to employer standards) Knowledge of local routes and traffic laws Good communication and time-management skills
