Position type: Full-time, permanent Business type: Gas station, LCBO and retail grocery store Job location: Kincardine, ON Compensation: $23.50 per hour Overtime pay rate: $35.25/hour after 44 hours/week Vacation: vacation pay is 4% of the gross pay, Job Protected Unpaid Leave: 10 days for personal emergencies such as illness, injury and certain other emergencies and urgent matters. Work hours: Minimum 37.5 hours per week, some weekends may be required Number of positions: 1 Job duties: • Oversee and manage daily operations of the store and the gas station, and act as a leader for the store employees, including hiring, reviewing, and employee scheduling • Assist in planning annual or specific budgets • Develop rapport and make connections with the retail team and customers • Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner • Implement and enforce daily operating procedures to ensure the store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well-kept • Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner • Maintain quality brand image standards • Complete daily paperwork and computer entries in a timely manner as established by management • Monitor cash over and short, inventory shrinkage, and drive-offs daily • Understand all information in the daily reporting of store operations • Follow and enforce all company policies and established procedures in the store operations • Communicate and perform all price change requests, markdowns/ups as requested by the manager/management • Enforce safety and security and report all unsafe conditions • Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or accidents following company procedure Requirements/Qualifications: • Six months to 1 year of experience in a supervisory role in a retail business environment • Completion of secondary school • Willing to relocate • Experience in budgeting • Must have excellent communication skills in English and client service • Education from a Canadian institute is an asset • Able to work weekdays and weekends • Highly effective teamwork and organizational skills • Attention to detail in all areas of work How to apply: Please send your resume to lalchouhan77@yahoo.ca with the subject line “Retail Store Supervisor”.
