**Job Duties Description - Machine Operator** We are seeking a seasonal skilled and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our team. This position involves operating and maintaining a variety of specialized machinery used in our industry. While prior machine operation experience is an asset, we provide comprehensive **in-house training** on all equipment due to the specialized nature of our machines. **Key Responsibilities:** * Operate and monitor heavy equipment and computer-controlled machinery used in daily production. * Conduct pre-operational checks, perform basic troubleshooting, and carry out routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and refilling equipment tanks. * Set up, adjust, and secure special attachments to machinery to ensure optimal performance. * Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to take accurate measurements of distance, volume, length, and weight for quality control. * Follow detailed safety procedures and understand the proper use and information provided in Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). * Maintain accurate production logs, onboard reports, and other required documentation. * Operate GPS systems, two-way radios, hydraulic pumping systems, and other navigation or communication equipment as needed. * Perform minor repairs on equipment when required. * Assist in the preparation of accident or incident reports. * Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. **Equipment Operated May Include:** * Caterpillar (CAT) controls * Bulldozers (large and small) * Cable shovels (large and small) * Loaders * Asphalt spreaders * Pulverizing and stabilizing machines * Compactors, pavers, and rollers * Gravel or dump trucks * Industrial lift trucks and forklifts * Bobcats and similar equipment **Skills & Qualifications:** * Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in machinery operation (in-house training provided). * Knowledge of machining processes or welding techniques is an asset. * Basic math skills for measurements and production calculations. * Understanding of quality control procedures and safety standards. * Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate with a team.
