Job Description

Job description: We are looking for a Full Time Registered Pharmacy Technician to promote our beliefs within our collaborative and dynamic pharmacy workforce! Starting at $33 per hour, negotiable with experience Armstrong is 15 minutes from the major center of Vernon, approximately 1 hour from cities of Kamloops or Kelowna. Great Okanagan country of lakes, vineyards, outdoor recreation, ski hills and mild winters of southern interior B.C. Small town living with all the big city amenities. Great pharmacy support team of assistants, always 2 pharmacists on shift Monday to Friday. Wage is negotiable. No 12 hour shifts, evenings or stat holidays! Must have a BC College of Pharmacists license, however, we are willing to take students already enrolled in the Regulated Pharmacy Technician program and work towards employment We will meet and exceed your wage expectations! Required Skill / Knowledge / Experience: Ability to determine customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction Continuous learning Job task planning and organizing Working well with others Critical thinking Operate a variety of office equipment, including phone systems, printers, faxes, & computers Pharmacy experience is an asset Key responsibilities of a Pharmacy Technician include: Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling Data entry of patient care information Third Party adjudication where required and necessary Accurate dispensing prescription medications Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary Handling customer prescription pick up, Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required in the Pharmacy Qualifications: Registered with the corresponding provincial licensing college, where applicable in the province seeking employment, in good standing Experience as a Pharmacy Technician or certification from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation Strong communication skills Demonstrated customer service experience Strong motivation to succeed Proficient computer/data/entry skills
