Job Description
LONG HAUL TRUCK DRIVER Job details • Salary $36.60 hourly / 40 to 60 hours per week • Permanent employment Full time • Early morning, Evening, Day, Weekend • Starts as soon as possible • 9 vacancies Language - English Education - Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience - Will train On site - Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. • Various locations Responsibilities/Tasks • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses • Air Brakes Endorsement • Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Experience and specialization Documentation knowledge • Driver logbook Security and safety • Driving record check (abstract) Who can apply for this job?
