Overview
· Languages: English
· Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
· Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
· On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
· Work setting: Various locations
Responsibilities
· • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
· • Measure and mark sheet metal according to template
· • Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
· • Operate laser cutters
· • Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
· • Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification
· • Cut materials using power tools or by hand
· • Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment
· • Fit and join sheet metal parts
· • Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
· • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
Credentials
· • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
· • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
