Job Description
Work location On site Permanent employment Full time Starts as soon as possible 1 vacancy Overview Languages English Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience 1 year to less than 2 years On site Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work site environment At heights Noisy Dusty Work setting Construction Commercial Residential Responsibilities: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites Survey building locations and levels Instruct apprentices Supervise other workers Estimate costs and materials Supervision 3-4 people Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate Additional information Transportation/travel information Own transportation Work conditions and physical capabilities Handling heavy loads Physically demanding Personal suitability Accurate Team player Values and ethics
