Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and qualified live-in caregiver to join our household. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for elderly individuals with complex medical conditions, including mobility challenges and cognitive impairment. In addition to supporting an adult family member diagnosed with MS, Parkinson’s disease, and short-term memory loss, the caregiver will also assist in the care of our daughter, who is developmentally challenged. This is a live-in position with room and board provided. We are looking for someone who is patient, dependable, and committed to providing a safe and supportive home environment. Education : Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience Experience required : 1 to less than 7 months Responsibilities/Tasks Administer bedside and personal care Administer medications Assist clients in water (i.e. pool) Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk Feed or assist in feeding Launder clothing and household linens Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties Provide companionship Provide personal care Shop for food and household supplies Prepare and serve nutritious meals Cook Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses CPR Certificate First Aid Certificate Experience and specialization Target audience Adults Elderly Persons with physical disabilities Additional information Security and safety Criminal record check Weight handling Between 61 and 80 kg (133-176 lbs) Personal suitability Client focus Dependability Efficient interpersonal skills Flexibility Initiative Judgement Reliability Patience Honesty
