Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver Employer: Custom Transport Ltd Salary: $24/ hour Vacancies: 10 Job Location: 65 Lowson Crescent Winnipeg, Manitoba R3P 0T3 Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time 40 to 50 hours / week Employment groups: Youth, Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada Employment conditions: Flexible hours Start date: As soon as possible Job requirements Languages English Education No degree, certificate or diploma Experience Will train Work setting Various locations Tasks Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy Load and unload goods Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform brake adjustments Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Perform preventive maintenance Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Documentation knowledge Driver logbook Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) Type of trucking and equipment Tractor-trailer Transportation/travel experience Long-haul Transportation/travel information Valid driver's licence Weight handling Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) Own tools/equipment Steel-toed safety boots Other benefits Learning/training paid by employer How to apply By email Customtansportjobs@gmail.com
