V.O.S.S. Steel Construction Canada Ltd. is a steel construction company specialized in the assembly of steel structures, high storage warehouses (silo), low storage warehouses (akl), as well as in modern storage systems (cuby) based on the patented European Witron and/or NewCold and/or Kocher technology. For our Canadian operations we are currently seeking: Steel Construction Fitter - 2 positions Job description: • Read blueprints and assemble racks as per plans and drawings • Adjust and assemble steel units • Assembly, commissioning and service of automated storage racks, picking systems protected by patent. • Signal position of the assembled units on site • Construct patterns and templates as guides for layouts for the equipment being assembled • Measurements, assemble, maintenance and quality control of the racks installation, conveyor system, stacker cranes, picking robots, etc. • Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to form complete units using welding, bolting, riveting or other commonly used solutions • Examination of the structure and equipment assembly for the safety • Communication and cooperation with other team members Desired qualifications: • 4 years of experience with steel construction • Industry related tickets (WHMIS) • Certificate for operators of platform lifts (f.e. scissor lifts) • Experience and training with Witron and/or NewCold and/or Kocher European racking technology preferred • Min. 6 months of experience with prefabricated racking elements from Witron and/or NewCold and/or Kocher • Communicative English • Desire to learn We offer: • Great work environment • Competitive wages (hourly rate: 34,5 • /hour) • Full time work week • Vacations: 15 days per year • Professional trainings • Opportunity to work on our projects in several provinces and outside the country • Performance based bonuses up to company’s discretion
