Job Description
Overview Languages English Education College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year Experience 2 years to less than 3 years Work setting Urban area Willing to relocate Responsibilities Tasks Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget Monitor revenues to determine labour cost Monitor staff performance Plan and organize daily operations Recruit staff Set staff work schedules Supervise staff Train staff Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms Conduct performance reviews Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations Organize and maintain inventory Ensure health and safety regulations are followed Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities Leading/instructing individuals Address customers' complaints or concerns Provide customer service Manage events Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Food and beverage server trade certification First Aid Certificate Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate CPR Certificate Occupational Health and Safety Certificate Food Safety Certificate
